Bartlett's Familiar Quotations lets you search by word or phrase, or browse through an alphabetical listing of the principal authors represented.
Brewer's Dictionary of Phrase and Fable is stuffed with quotes and other odds and ends of literary detritus. (Detritus is a useful word to know. It can describe the contents of your bedroom, for instance. )
The Common Place Book takes submissions from Internet users, so this site is a mish mash of quotes people find interesting or useful rather than quotes that are necessarily famous.
Quote of the Day is a searchable index of quotes submitted by web users. It's not comprehensive, but you might just find what you're looking for.
The Quotations Page! is one of the original quotation archives on the Internet.
History Channel: Great Speeches is an outstanding audio database allowing you to listen to the speeches (I think you need RealAudio 5. There's a plug-in button there). There is a speech of the day and a large archive section.
Text of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech
Check out a great site about Martin Luther King Jr. here.Inaugural Addresses of the United States Presidents from Washington (1789) to Clinton (1997). Includes a bit of biographical information on Presidents who were not inaugurated and didn't have a chance to make a speech. (Maybe there should have been more like that, eh?)
Gifts of Speech is an extensive collection of speeches by contemporary women from Bella Abzug to Jody Williams. (Quick quiz: who was Jody Williams? Winner of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for her work in banning the use of land mines.)
