The importance of alternative color palettes
The importance of alternative color palettes
If you are looking to furnish your apartment or dormitory room in the best possible way with the furniture that is graciously given to you by your relatives and friends, of course, you will soon find yourself with an eclectic mixture of styles, forms, colors and other characteristics. Naturally, in most cases, this can quickly become chaotic; especially when you are on your latter years or finishing semesters and you need to start standing on your own two feet.
Dinners with classmates and faculty are usually the first steps of the student that is looking to achieve an important place in the corporate ladder; as such, it is of some importance at least to have a coordinate un-coordination amongst your furniture and its style, forms, shapes, materials, colors and even the lifetime of use that they had.
The first thing that you need to do is to choose a palette of colors; this palette will work as a guideline if you need to alter, modify or blatantly change the color scheme that you have decided to use in your house, apartment, or room decoration either according to a pre-established pattern or your own concoction.
Do not mind in taking time studying, analyzing, creating, changing, and all around playing with classic and non classic color combinations. Do not mind if your color palette looks like the flag of any given country or something that only a clown or a stereotypical golf player would like; focus on the feelings and sensations that this particular color palette causes and creates on your mind and mood. If you do not consider or concentrate in what others might think or perceive, you will succeed in creating your own perfect environment and place.
When you are creating your own structured scheme, take the time to create it with the different color palette or the choices that you might be willing to take on any given color. To say it in a simpler manner, draw two or three guidelines on the overall structure that you want in different colors or using a different color palette each time. In this way, either if you are unable to purchase a specific wall paint, for example, because they were out of the color that you have chosen or because your student loan budget simply does not allow it; you can change it to an alternative choice without hindering the overall effect.
