Lookout for the right breakfast

One of the most common things that students do when they are currently undergoing college or university education is alter their intake habits. Commonly known breakfasts are tons of cereal gulped down with coffee, milk, orange juice, and even chocolate. Other favorite is a Twinkie, a coke and a cigarette, this is mainly because the over sized calorie and sugar intake will allow the student to “half function” for at least 4 hours before it is time to go an have a coffee with his or her friends.

Of course, after 10 or 15 years have passed you might still remember those days when that were your breakfast and you can smile; but that very smile-evoking breakfast will be the cause of many of your digestive problems all the way up to 10 to 15years later. Acid reflux, gastritis and the inability to take spicy condiments such as chile are the direct results of such “meals”.

Is it the combination that causes so much damage or any of the individual items? Well, of course, the combination is the worst ever, but the individual items are not a meal in themselves either. A person that lives on Twinkies even if he or she actually does a lot of exercise will not have the sufficient nutriments (even if he or she takes vitamins), the same will happen if the person dinks only Coke or just smokes cigarettes. Furthermore, heavy smokers usually have the worst bad breath ever and that is definitely neither cool nor sexy.

Now, if you are the type of person who is determined to continue with this “wonderful” diet and to keep it “balanced” you take in vitamins and other dietary supplements. Then you that you are exactly the type of person the Coyote would be, and for that matter Sylvester and the rest of the cartoon characters that spend their money on “Acme” products instead of simply purchasing a pizza.

If you are stressed out and you have serious problems with your stomach or clock and you do not have the time to sit down and have a proper breakfast, indeed this can be a solution ONLY on cases of emergency, but on the rest of the time, they are less than advisable. 10 to 15 years in the future might seem too distant and you can even think that it is the classic “blowing thing out of proportion” of “old people”, but you might consider that risking it is not worth it, after all, it is your health and your body. Overweight is not sexy, but neither is to have digestive problems like irritable colon.
